Archives For October 2010

From Jacksonville, Florida:

A crook who broke into a Springfield church using a cross and stole thousands of dollars in equipment has been forgiven….

At Sunday morning’s service, praise and music echoed as loud as ever. That’s because the burglar returned for forgiveness.

“He wanted prayer. He wanted help so they wouldn’t get him,” Scott (the pastor) said. “And ironically, the name of the church is The Embassy, so we protected him, and today he showed back up to church. We prayed for him. He cried and joined the church.

Crank Dat Holy Ghost

Given the way we knock off everything the “secular” industry does, I would assume that somewhere there is a Christian version of the VMAs or at least they probably have a Dove Award for music videos.

If they do, I humbly submit this video for consideration for Christian Rap Video of the Year.

Also, this video reminds me in so many ways why I love youth ministry.

It’s finally settled! Evolution is false! Forget science and all its “research” and “facts”, all you need is a jar of peanut butter to prove that evolution is a scam!

The Christian Jackson 5

With apologies to anyone who had aspirations of being the Christian King of Pop, this guy officially holds the title.  At the 1:50 mark, he really kicks it up a notch.

Faulty Anointing Oil

I went to a small Christian college and for the first year or so we didn’t have cable. So, we made the best of over the air TV, which included calling every telethon that came on TV to see if they would wave at us. Good times.

Of course, we also made our fair share calls to televangelists. Spent a half hour on the phone with the Seventh Day Adventists one time, but never really got through to the “prophets.” Although we did get the pastor on the pray line to agree that it doesn’t really matter which day of the week we hold Sabbath on, so that was kind of a nice personal victory.

This guy, however, actually got to talk to the man in charge. Naturally, he made a cartoon to accompany his conversation with the good prophet. Enjoy.

The Lord works in mysterious ways. Here God speaks through the mouth of a child to remind us of how serious sin really is…..

Apocalypse averted….for now

I would like to go on record as saying that THIS is one of the greatest headlines I’ve ever seen.  From CBSNews:

The Virgina House of Delegates on Wednesday approved a measure that could protect Virginia residents from overbearing employers, and possibly the apocalypse.

The law would make it illegal to implant an identification or tracking device into a person’s body without their written consent. As the use of implanted microchips becomes more common — people use them to track pets and could possibly use them for purposes such as securing one’s medical history — lawmakers are starting to address concerns. Some are concerned their use among humans would lead to a lack of privacy or abuse from employers. Others, the Washington Post reports, are also concerned the use of microchips could be the “mark of the beast” — or the coming of the antichrist.

Wait a second… Microchip implants are most common in animals… and it’s called the “mark of the BEAST”?!!  I’m pretty sure I know who the antichrist is!

He's licking his lips because he's blood-thirsty

Just watch it.

Tract Tuesday – part 1

Zack —  October 5, 2010 — 2 Comments

Welcome to part 1 of our new epic mini-series “Tract Tuesday.” Each Tuesday we will take a look at a different religious tract in hopes that it will save our souls from damnation.

Today we learn about the “Birds and the Bees.” Well, not those birds and bees………the gay ones. Apparently, new laws have been passed or are being passed that require schools to bring gay couples in for show and tell. And if you disagree with that then it looks like you’re going to jail.

I don’t know about you, but I’m calling my congressman immediately and getting those gay show and tell laws revoked!

(Special thanks to the good people at Chick Publishing for all their hard work in putting this tract together.)

Clash TV – part 2

Doug Giles is back to explain why sharia law is about to change America into Americanistan. This time he employs his puppet “Skunkboy” to explain how this is going to happen via a “re-imagining” of the John Lennon classic “Imagine.” Yes, you read that right.

The Third Eagle of the Apocalypse needs to be taking notes…..

[Fair warning....Skunkboy doesn't always use church appropriate language]
