Strippers Protest Church for Protesting Strippers

This story has actually been in the national news for a few months now, and it doesn’t seem to be going away.   Strippers in Warsaw, OH are protesting a local church every Sunday in retaliation for the church protesting and harassing their club and customers.    Despite going back and forth for months, no peace has been made between the two parties.

You can read the full story over here at the Detroit News.

So… who’s in the right here?  Is the church justified in their actions, or is there some creative way to show love to outsiders in this situation?  Let’s hear some thoughts in the comments

Two things: 1. I know strip clubs aren’t the best place for people to be and the dancers are making their money off false sexuality, so it’s not something we should really be encouraging, but I kind of love that the dancers are doing this. And 2. If there’s a 42-year-old who is dancing at a club to make ends meet, that tells me that there are a lot better things the church could be doing for her than protesting her job. Like, for instance, helping her out in any way at all so she doesn’t have to strip.

Maybe they should start a ministry targeted towards strippers. I think they’d see a spike in Sunday morning attendance, but it would probably be only dudes.
