‘Crock-O-Duck’ Disproves Evolution?

First, it was the banana that Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron claimed disproved evolution.

Then, they learned how fruit is cultivated and gave up that endeavor.

Well, if your first ridiculous claim is proven false, what are you supposed to do next?

Admit that you are in fact not experts in evolutionary biology. Come up with an even more ridiculous claim!

According to the crowned princes of street evangelism, their imaginary “Crock-O-Duck” is just as ridiculous as the notion of a missing link in evolution and therefore disproves the entire theory of evolution. As Comfort explains, “if evolutionist can come up with imaginary missing links, why can’t we?”

Sigh.

Maybe one day Ray and Kirk will realize that science isn’t something you “believe in”, it’s something you try to understand.

Until then, we get to suffer through enjoy “Crock-O-Duck”…..

Haha, I think the discovery of a Crock-O-Duck would disprove evolution!

“Darwin would have been ecstatic.” More like confused.

I’m genuinely baffled by this kind of material as, at first, I think they are just being funny, but they actually think evolution might as well mean that a crocodile could become a duck. This just, it just . . . I’m . . . I mean . . . my head hurts.

I just asked my fiancee (who is completing her PhD in Biology) to watch this and she responded by kicking me in the face. Apparently, she is quite angry about losing those two minutes of her life.

I need to go and get a bandaid for this open wound. And my brain. Thanks. Thanks a lot.

This planet…I don’t want to live on it any more…

Sadly, none of the actors in this farce are scientists, much less understand that you can be both scientific and faithful. I really believe God is comfortable with our scientific curiosity. At least my faith has been strengthened by it.

Although I have to say it would be really cool to find a croco-duck! A Crock-o-duck sounds like a thanksgiving dinner gone bad.

I guess they’re hinting that humans never evolved from apes. They’re right. A human is a human and an ape is an ape. Once upon a time a long time ago humans (“cave men”)did look a lot like apes. But they are two different species. Separated by a very very minor difference in DNA, but different nonetheless.

The original anti-evolution argument for Croc-o-duck, which Kirk and Ray completely failed to mention, is that there has to be an intermediate form between every species, and since croc-o-ducks don’t exist, birds can’t have evolved from some ancient reptile-like ancestor. As far as the video goes, I was entertained that Nebraska Man, Piltdown Man, and Archaeopteryx were all lumped together as “imaginary missing links.” Piltdown Man was a true hoax and Nebraska Man was an enthusiastic, but misidentified fossil pig tooth, but Archaeopteryx is a real, intermediate form of dinosaur/bird. Despite the entertainment value, I don’t follow their logic on why they included Archaeopteryx in with the others, since there is not much scientific doubt as to what that amazing fossil is.

It wasn’t Archaeopteryx but Archaeoraptor, which was indeed a hoax (and which, like all other such hoaxes, except for Piltdown man, was never really taken seriously in the first place by the scientific community).

Maybe Kirk Cameron is the missing link…he seems like a lesser thinking life form, does he not?

A duck doesn’t turn into a crocodile. That’s now how evolution works (at least in the sense they’re arguing against). I have to wonder if anyone has ever tried to explain how evolution actually works to them? Did they just ignore it? Or is it too simple for them to understand?

Is there a missing link between water and wine? Is sangria the transitional beverage that proves evolution?
    Just wondering…

Ray Comfort, why are you in the USA? Your homeland New Zealand is a far more secular society. It is more tolerate of gambling, prostitution, evolution and gay rights. I assume that you like Ken Hamm, Benny Hinn, and Peter Popoff know the USA is full of semi-illiterate bible thumpers. The USA is a great county for any religious con-man to rake in millions of dollars. Had you remained in New Zealand, you? would probably have enough followers to fill a phone booth.
