Pastor: ‘National Geographic Magazine = National Pornographic Magazine’

Ahh, Steven Anderson.

You literally never know what will come out of his mouth next.

While I appreciate his, albeit odd, attempt at affirming racial equality in this video, if his line of thinking is correct, i.e. nudity = pornography, then its many classical nudes makes the Vatican a house of porn and every doctor who asks their patients to remove their clothes for an exam is a sexual deviant.

But, of course, such thinking requires those heretical twins, logic and reason, and if there’s anything fundamentalism wants no part of it is logic and reason.

This is the kind of preaching you get when the preacher doesn’t have any depth of relationship with God. I say that as a preacher myself who formerly had no depth at all with God.

Anderson just keeps getting crazier and crazier…. I thought his “Piss Against The Wall” sermon was nuts.

He makes a good point about *morality*, I thought; that God’s morality transcends race, time and culture. The point about nudity being sinful seemed more implicit to me, more assumed, and actually is incorrect as you have pointed out, though it is a point that many or most of the mainline churches would affirm. Not God, though.
