Archives For Video

I’m not going to be able to write much about this video… mostly because it makes me so incredibly angry.  It’s not because someone doesn’t like President Obama, and it’s  not because someone is to the right of me politically.   It’s because of the arrogant way that this person degrades the idea of serving others.

It is a response to President Obama’s call to Americans to serve others on 9/11 to honor those servants that gave of themselves 10 years ago.  The person who edited the video feels that this is a huge waste of time… maybe even anti-Christian.  He feels that we should simply come together and pray for our country and those who have lost lives.

I agree with the poster- this should be a time of prayer and remembrance.  However, the vitriol that he displays for serving your neighbor is downright sickening.  I wonder if this advocate for prayer is familiar with the Jesus of Scripture at all.  Has he read the Sermon on the Mount?  Has he read the prophets of old who warned Israel about the consequences of ignoring social justice issues in their nation?

By all means, pray.  Let us not pretend that prayer and religious trappings is what God desires above all.  I’ll leave you with these words of Christ from the ninth chapter of Matthew, and let you decide which is more desirable to God… religious motions or loving our neighbor.

Go and learn what this means, “I desire mercy, not sacrifice.”

Uh-oh… looks like someone just got video-editing software on their Dell laptop!

This guy calls himself the “Mystery Preacher,” but the only real mystery is why anyone would ride in a convertible right before filming yourself. I mean, that has to be why his hair is defying gravity, right?

The lesson here is: don’t assume you know where everyone stands on every issue.

In this video, Pastor Steven Anderson supports illegal immigrants, citing the Bible as it says to care for the stranger and the foreigner.

Best part: “Turn off your stupid Sean Hannity, and your stupid Rush Limbaugh, and your Glen Beck, and all your conservative right-wing radio… and why don’t you get in the Bible!!!”

Is it just me, or do these two have a very “Home Shopping Network” feel to them? But wait! There’s more……

White people aren’t the only ones dabbling in bad Christian rap these days.

Everybody with us now:

Baby Wake Up… It’s Suuuunday
Get the Kids Up… It’s Suuuunday
I been going to church my whole life on Sundays,
I messed up all week but not on Sunday!”

We pastors can be a fickle and often schizophrenic group. We’d like to share one example with you.

Bishop Robert E. Smith Jr. preaches in Little Rock, Arkansas and has a bevy of recorded sermons on youtube. Here is one from just eight months ago, where he touts the virtue of “being nice.” He seems reasonable, calm, and measured.

Bishop Smith has apparently had a change in heart about that whole “being nice” issue though, because just this month he preached on how ignorant nice people are- and I’m pretty certain he encourages us to cut people into pieces.

Where did that measured pastor from the video that he named “Be Nice To People” go? By the time he recorded “Nice People Are Ignorant Folks,” that man seems to have left…

For every intelligent Christian who can hold an academic discussion about the purpose of Biblical narratives, there seems to be a hundred idiots like this one.

Stupid yet Arrogant Christians: Making us look like idiots since the Enlightenment…

This is one of those videos that you listen to and find yourself saying, “Did he really just say that??” Just so we’re clear, this is the thought process of Damon Thompson (also known as Redneck Driscoll) :

Step 1- Murder someone

Step 2- Get Saved

Step 3- God changes your DNA

Step 4- Get away with murder

It’s the perfect crime!!!

If you enjoyed this video, stay tuned- we plan to bring much more Damon Thompson into your life in the very near future!

Without a doubt, Carman is the king of entertaining Christian music videos. In fact, he was featured in our last Throwback Thursday. Well, he’s going to make two “Throwbacks” in a row, because the following video is too awesome not to have a permanent home here at American Jesus.

In fact, we’re going to go ahead and make that a rule: If you make a Christian video that involves a Western themed bar-room shootout between demons and man, we’re posting that bad boy. Man law.

Ladies and Gentlemen, “Satan Bite the Dust.”

I’d be lying if I said that I haven’t wished for a Tapley response to the May 21 Rapture crowd. Well, praise the whore of babylon he has!

The Third Eagle William Tapley reveals to us that Camping is a punk and a false prophet. All hail Tapley!
